Genesis Zero Team Road Racing Bike 2015

The Zero Team uses the exact same frame the Madison Genesis Team ride (right down to the sponsor logos on the stays) and delivers the pro-level performance the riders need to compete in tough stage races like the Tour of Britain. It's not a replica, it’s not a team paintjob on a similar looking frame, or a downgraded carbon blend from the same mould, it is the same frame.

The engineering of this frame includes the use of a sizeable downtube and large, box section chainstays fully exploiting the additional surface area and room provided by the wide, BB86 press-fit BB shell to deliver the stiff and efficient pedalling platform necessary for pro-level power output. At the same time the design incorporates slim, flattened seatstays and toptube and a Ø27.2mm seatpost to provide enough flex and compliance required to ensure team riders get to the end of a stage still fresh enough to contest the sprint.

The internal cable routing, aero bladed fork and dropped downtube help give an aerodynamic advantage for breakaway efforts or solo escapades and the tapered headtube and matching tapered full carbon steerer fork provide on-rails handling precision for daredevil descending. There’s full, internal Di2 compatibility too, should you wish to make the switch to an electronic groupset further down the line, and, whilst the team don’t have to worry about things like warranties we know consumers do, so, the Zero Team comes equipped with a full lifetime warranty to the original owner.

As you might expect of a flagship model, the Zero Team is equipped with some of the finest componentry available. This includes Shimano’s top tier Dura Ace mechanical groupset – the finest mechanical shifting and lightest road componentry available from the Japanese powerhouse. In the wheel department we’ve equipped Shimano’s world class C24 carbon-laminate clincher wheels which weigh a svelte 1428g and are still amongst the stiffest, most reliable wheels money can buy - add in Shimano’s beautifully simple tool-free micro-adjust bearings and you begin to understand why these wheels are the industry benchmark.

The wheels are finished off with Continental’s finest Grand Prix model tyres, made in Germany and sporting their secretive, yet highly acclaimed ‘Black Chili’ compound – a soft compound that grips like the proverbial vice but without the normally associated high wear rates that come with softer compound rubber.
